Just as the sender above stated, every line I read about Christian is epitomized by Ian and his mannerisms and the very air he exudes… Each and every other male actor you have mentioned pale in character, sense of mystery and/or danger , except him. If he can pull off the subtlety and the elegance of the character in all it’s mannerisms as written , and I think that he absolutely can, he is the ONLY contender. All the other male actors suggested shall leave the role flat and stale in comparison . He has the eyes, oh those dangerous eyes , the mystery, the danger, as well as the underlying little-boy-lost and goodness… Just make sure you choose the perfect leading lady as well, otherwise all is lost. Make us proud, choose Ian Somerhalder .
I completely agree. Ian is the front runner for the role. I’d cast either Ashley Greene or Lily Collins as Ana. I’m hoping it would be Lily because she’s really cute & she has that innocent look. She’d have to wear contacts though.
Although both, Ian and Matt, are beautiful and are deserving of the role of Christian Grey, personally I think that Bradley Cooper would be phenomenal. PLEASE don’t cast Ryan Gosling, not that he isn’t sexy, he just isn’t sexy enough for this part.
Read all three books in 4 days …. (besides working full time, being a mother of two and a wife). Found myself staying up till wee hours of the night … and Lord knows what else. At any rate, Christian shoes are not ones that are going to fill easily without spoiling what “we” invision him to be. After reading who might be the “likely” canidiates … I must say that when I saw … Ian Somerhaulder … it brought a warm sensation to me …. in a good way. He’s perfect … “Christian ” needs to be a bold, mind blowingly good looking, and his eyes need to lead you astray into oncoming traffic are caring less about it.

Agree 100 percent! Matt Bomer possesses the depth and the complexity of character that the role of Christian Grey requires. Somerhalder could not possibly convey this. Bomer is the perfect fit for the role, and I truly hope that he’ll get it. Fingers crossed that they’ll make him a good offer!

You have to choose someone that seems to look like they have a bit of a “dark” side, not some guy that looks like your average handsome guy in the neighborhood. Smoldering Grey eyes, copper tossled hair, mascular perfect body…Im just not sure how they will fit in all the HOT tsteamy scenes between the two of them…it would have to be xxx rated!
Well, in my opinion there is only one guy that could pull this off and that would be Robert Pattinson, he is the total package, he is simply gorgeous and he has the looks to die for and he is the right age..there really is not other that could fill his shoes on this one
